Preparation and creative complexity
Script development, location scouting, casting, props and coordination all affect the cost. A short scripted commercial can require more preparation than a long interview filmed in one location.
Shooting days and crew
The number of shooting days, cameras, location moves and lighting complexity determine the resources needed on set. The aim is the right crew for the task: clear interview audio, uninterrupted concert coverage or precise camera movement.
Editing and additional versions
Reviewing large volumes of footage, animation, detailed sound work and language versions take time. Agree on the number of videos, aspect ratios and revision process in advance.
How to allocate your budget
Protect the resources that will have the greatest impact on the result. Sometimes filming several meaningful scenes in one location is more valuable than adding a complicated travel schedule. Discuss different ways to bring the same idea to life with your production team.
What to check in a proposal
Compare the scope: preparation, shooting hours, equipment, editing, graphics, music and adaptations. Clarify what is included and what is priced separately. The final estimate should describe a clear set of deliverables.
